A sincere thank you to Rev. John Todd’s church in Tennessee for sending us this beautiful new communion plate! Rev. Todd retired as the Head Pastor of Pali Pres in 2004.

A Warm Welcome to our Sunday School Team: Andrea and Alexa!

Andrea Del Rosario is originally from the Philippines and has lived in California for the past eight years. Her heart finds joy in serving both children and elders. With eight years of experience as a private caregiver, she has dedicated her life to making a meaningful difference. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Lyceum of the Philippines University and studied Sterile Processing, enhancing her skills while working in Saudi Arabia and Qatar as a Sterile Processing Technician. She and her daughter, Ameera, love Pali Pres; Ameera attended Pali Pres Preschool and is now part of our Sunday School and Children’s Ministry.

Alexa Estrada was born and raised in Los Angeles and has lived in the Brentwood/Santa Monica area for the past nine years. She is 22 years old and recently completed her undergraduate studies at Bay Path University in Massachusetts, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Education Studies with a focus on Early Childhood Education. She is about to begin her second school year working at Palisades Charter Elementary School as a first-grade Instructional Aide. Before joining us at Pali Pres, she began working as a childcare provider at Brentwood Presbyterian, a position she has held for nearly a year as of this coming October. What a blessing to have these two faithful women teaching our children in Sunday School!

Where in the World?

Sadly, much of our church family has been scattered far and wide due to the the Palisades fire. Yet, we remain a singular body of faith and fellowship under Christ. This is by no means an accident! God has worked through all of us to remain united amidst the chaos, inspiring us to take the extra steps needed to stay connected.

In this light, we invite everyone to participate in our new ‘Where in the World’ initiative! If you feel so moved, please download and print the ‘We Love You Pali Pres’ image HERE. Take a picture of yourself/your family holding the picture at your new (or temporary) residence, and email it to Operations Manager Will Saunders, along with your full name, location, and any other details you’d like to share! You and your photo will then be featured in an upcoming Pali Pres Community Update!

Pictured below are Pat and Bill Moran at “Old Faithful” in Yellowstone National Park! They recently moved into a condo in Manhattan Beach, which will be their home as they rebuild in the Palisades.

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We have been blessed the last few months by so many churches, friends, and organizations who have donated food and funds for our coffee fellowship hour after church.

We are looking for volunteers from within our own Pali Pres community. On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynnette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!

We are so thankful to last Sunday’s Snack Angels, Nina & David Kidd, for graciously providing coffee and refreshments. What a blessing! This week’s refreshments are provided by Joan & Jerry Kaczorowski!
