Pali Pres is honored to welcome to worship this Sunday, June 8, guests from the Synod of Southern California and Hawaii! There are 16 synods in the Presbyterian Church (USA), each one serving as a regional governing body made up of presbyteries. As an integral part of our “connectional” identity as Presbyterians, the Synod of Southern California and Hawaii has helped our presbytery and our church with resources and support through our recent challenges.

Diaper Drive

We invite you to bring your diaper donations and place them in the basket located in the narthex on Sunday morning, marked with the giant baby flyer below. Your generosity will support the VBS 2025 mission component, aiding the vital efforts of the Hope On Union Food Pantry. This essential ministry feeds and meets the basic needs of individuals living in and around Skid Row. Together, let us join forces with Brentwood Presbyterian for this impactful cause. Good News Corner

Hudson Ramberg, grandson of Dean and Margi St. Clair, played shortstop this past season with the Pali High varsity baseball team. Despite the team experiencing the loss of homes, teammates to other schools and their entire baseball facility, they have remained a close community. The players, staff and some very supportive team parents worked diligently with other high schools, little leagues and city parks to ensure that they had a place to practice consistently and play all of their league games. They were visited by various media outlets, a documentary crew, former Yankees manager Joe Torre and actor Billy Crystal, and organizations generously donated equipment and uniforms. They even caught the attention of Dave Roberts, manager of the Los Angeles Dodgers, and were celebrated at Dodger stadium in April. This outpouring of support boosted their morale and helped them make it to the city semi-finals this spring. Pali Strong!

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We have been blessed the last few months by so many churches, friends, and organizations who have donated food and funds for our coffee fellowship hour after church.

We are looking for volunteers from within our own Pali Pres community. Many of you have mentioned that you would like to be a snack angel, and we are so grateful! On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynnette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up! Please join us for this important ministry to our church family!

We are so thankful to last Sunday’s snack angel, the National Charity League San Fernando chapter SWANS, for graciously providing coffee and refreshments. What a blessing! This week’s refreshments are provided by Grace First Presbyterian Church in Long Beach!
