Another Successful Habitat for Humanity Mission!

Thanks to everyone who volunteered last Saturday at Habitat’s ReStore on La Brea. We all pitched in and helped them with sorting and placing new donations on the floor, rearranging and cleaning existing displays, sweeping the parking lot, taking out trash, assisting customers and loading and unloading furniture into cars and trucks.

Youth Ministry Highlights: Service & Fellowship

Thank you for your continued support of our youth! This past Sunday was a beautiful blend of service and fellowship. We started by volunteering at the Westside Food Bank, where our teens helped sort donations—an experience that grounded us in gratitude and compassion.

Later, we gathered for a beach party and devotional, joined by youth leaders and students from Brentwood, Santa Monica, and Culver City Presbyterian churches. There was laughter, games, worship, and even a few surprises—including special beach blankets and frisbees themed around the day’s message. It was a joyful time of connection and reflection, made all the more powerful by the unity of our churches working together.

Truly, my heart is full. Thank you for continuing to support this vital ministry. Your prayers, time, and generosity help shape the next generation in faith, love, and service.

Pacific Palisades Long Term Recovery Group

All Palisadians should consider signing up for the Long Term Recovery Group, where they can be assigned a Disaster Case Manager to guide them to aid. It is an official program of VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disaster). Sign up on their website at www.PaliLTRG.org.

Free visual arts lessons for adults aged 55 and above are available at the Palisades Community Renewal Center every Wednesday from 4:30pm to 5:30pm!

Good News Corner

Happy Birthday, Pastor Grace and Charlie! In Korean culture, turning 60 is a very big milestone; it is called “hwangap”, and traditionally, Koreans throw a large celebration party. In lieu of fetes thrown in their honor, both Pastor Grace and Charlie opted to go back to Korea to visit relatives for their 60th birthdays, Pastor Grace’s in July, and Charlie’s this past December.

It was a truly meaningful time for them to reconnect with relatives that they have not seen in a long time to celebrate their hwangaps in their homeland.

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We are looking for volunteers to serve as Sunday Snack Angels! On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynnette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!

We are so thankful to last Sunday’s Snack Angels, one of our Anonymous donors, for graciously providing coffee and refreshments. What a blessing! This week’s refreshments are provided by Carol Pfannkuche and Amy Berggreen!
