New Worship Location - Brentwood Presbyterian Church

We have relocated our worship services to Brentwood Presbyterian Church (BPC). We will begin worshiping at BPC on THIS SUNDAY, April 13, at 2:30pm. A time for coffee fellowship will follow the worship service and all services will be live-streamed and recorded. CLICK HERE to view the livestream.

Brentwood Presbyterian Church is located at 12000 San Vicente Blvd, Los Angeles, 90049. Ample parking can be found in the parking garage off of Bundy Ave (at the intersection of Bundy and San Vicente, directly behind the church) and on nearby side streets.

Change for Change Campaign

In the weeks leading up to Easter, the Children and Family Ministries (CFM) has traditionally spear-headed a fundraising campaign called “Change for Change” with great success. This year we invite you to participate again as all proceeds will go to the Pacific Palisades Taskforce on Homelessness. Here’s how it works:

1) Pick up a “Change for Change” donation box on April 13th after worship or during coffee hour. Each donation box will be unique; assembled and decorated by our children in the Sunday School ministry!

2) Fill the donation box with your spare change (bills and checks are fine too!).

3) Bring your donation box with you to church on Easter Sunday, April 20th, for a special dedication.

Every penny collected through these “Change for Change” boxes will go to the Pacific Palisades Taskforce on Homelessness, to help spread the hope and joy of Easter to those who are less fortunate. More than ever this ministry is relevant, in light of all our community has been through this year. Let’s all chip in to help make a change in someone’s life. Thank you for your love and support!

Good Friday Service—April 18 at 7pm

Join us in the Brentwood Pres sanctuary for a tender remembrance of Jesus’ final hours before his arrest, trial, and crucifixion. Through music, prayer, and a dramatic reading of the passion narrative, we will reflect on God’s wondrous love for this world through the sacrifice of his only Son. The service will be in-person only (not live-streamed).

Update on our Church Debris Removal

We have good news—thanks be to God! After months of petitions to local and state authorities, without any luck, for houses of worship to be included in Phase 2 of debris removal by the Army Corps of Engineers, Pali Pres finally had a breakthrough. We were approached by the non-profit organization “CORE” (Community Organized Relief Effort) to clear our lot for us! After several meetings between the CORE team and our Pali Pres leadership, arrangements were finalized to have our church lot cleared at no cost to PPPC. This is a true gift from God through the good people of CORE!

The environmental cleanup company American Plus Inc. (API) has been contracted by CORE, on our behalf, to perform the job. Work began this week with asbestos abatement (see photo below); fire debris removal is scheduled to begin next week. CORE and API believe the entire site will be cleared by early May.

Stay tuned for more updates! In the meantime, let us all lift a collective prayer of thanks to God for this incredible gift. As well, let us keep the amazing people at CORE and API in our prayers as they undertake this hefty project for us. May God bless them and keep them safe on site.

Lyla Corrales Memorial Service

Lyla’s memorial service will be held at Brentwood Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 14th at 1pm.

We are so thankful to this week’s snack angel, St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church for graciously providing coffee and refreshments for after our worship service this coming Sunday! What a blessing!
