Summer Worship Schedule

Beginning on June 28th, PPPC worship will take place at 10am as part of a joint service with our friends at Brentwood Pres.

Summer services will look very similar to the joint services we have taken part in over the past several months, with both Pastor Matt and Pastor Grace participating and preaching regularly.  While our choir will be on hiatus for the summer, we will continue to be blessed by the musical gifts of Pierre and our soloists, Anthony and the band, and Austin on the organ/piano.  We give thanks to God for the opportunity to worship together as a church family on Sunday mornings!  

Geoff Moyer Memorial

A service will be held in celebration of the life of Geoff Moyer tomorrow, June 20th at Brentwood Presbyterian Church, 11am.

Good News Corner

A warm congratulations to our beloved Pastor Grace on the 30th anniversary of her ordination! That’s an astounding total of 1,564 Sundays; 10,950 days of love, dedication and service, with many more to come!

Vacation Bible School 2026

VBS was a smashing success this year as Pali Pres teamed up with Brentwood Pres for an unforgettable week of faith, fun, and friendship!

Our theme scripture was Isaiah 43:2: “When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.” This powerful message guided us throughout the week as our children and youth explored Bible stories led by our very own Pastor Matt and Pastor Grace. The message was reinforced by the amazing talent of the Brentwood staff in the skits!

From creative crafts and exciting games to joyful songs and shared meals, each day was filled with opportunities to learn, grow, and make lasting memories. We were blessed to spend the week together, building friendships and celebrating God’s love.

A heartfelt thank you to all of our adult volunteers, youth counselors, and young campers who made this year’s VBS such a wonderful and memorable experience. It was truly an all-church effort, and we couldn’t have done it without you!

Tax Solutions Seminar for Pacific Palisades Fire Victims

Andrew Cereghino (son of Marilyn Haese and Financial Advisor for Edward Jones) has invited Pali Pres friends and members to attend a tax solutions seminar for fire victims via Zoom on Tuesday, June 23rd at 9am. This session will cover key tax considerations and strategies for those impacted by the fires. The seminar is hosted by John Trapani, a seasoned CPA dedicated to helping families, individuals, property investors and business owners fulfill their new income tax reporting responsibilities that arise from disaster events such as the devastating Palisades Fire. With 32 years of experience providing disaster related income tax reporting, John and his staff work closely with affected taxpayers so they can have the best tax outcome based on their unique circumstances.

Pepperdine Franklin & Palisades Fires Memory Project

Pepperdine Libraries has started a community archive to document and preserve the shared experience of the Franklin and Palisades wildfires, which had such a profound impact on the Pepperdine campus community and neighbors. They’re collecting photographs, videos, social media posts, written reflections, and oral history interviews related to life during the fire, its lasting impact, and the rebuilding process.

As our church and congregation were impacted by the Palisades Fire, Pepperdine Libraries has reached out to see if any community members would like to contribute.

If you would like to contribute, please email Alicia Petersen, Librarian for Special Collections at Pepperdine University.

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We are looking for volunteers to serve as Sunday Snack Angels! On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!
