Monthly Congregational Forum - August 20th

To help provide our Pali Pres family with information and updates related to our church’s recovery from the January wildfires, the PPPC Session has scheduled “Congregational Forums” on the third Wednesday of each month. The pastors, elders, and members of our church’s “Recovery Executive Team” will be available to present updates on all that we are working on and to hear and address questions from church members and friends.

The next Congregational Forum will be held on Wednesday, August 20th at 6:30pm via Zoom. Please join us via the information below.

Pali Pres ROCKS!

The Children and Family Ministry experienced an incredible time at our end-of-summer rock climbing adventure at Sender City in El Segundo. Even Pastors Matt and Grace joined in on the excitement! Afterward, we shared a delightful lunch at the very cool Proud Bird Restaurant, amidst restored airplanes and a beautiful exhibit honoring the Tuskegee Airmen from WWII. Proudly wearing our Pali Pres Kids Rock T-shirts, we created lasting memories of friendship and adventure. Stay tuned for more uplifting events in the future. Click HERE to see more fun photos!

Good News Corner

Joshua Park, one of our former Sunday school teachers, recently made a move to Washington D.C. to work with a nonprofit agency in the field of education. He is loving his new life there, having found a new church, wonderful roommates, meeting new and old friends, and enjoying his new job!

He lives in an apartment building with 18 young people, and they’ve all become friends! Before Joshua moved in, none of the other units spoke to each other. Joshua has seemingly brought them all together, and he hosts weekly dinners now, cooking for all 18 of them!

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We are looking for volunteers to serve as Sunday Snack Angels!. On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynnette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!

We are so thankful to last Sunday’s Snack Angels, Shelley Wagner & Clay Wagner Mednick, for graciously providing coffee and refreshments. What a blessing! This week’s refreshments are provided by Lynette Shishido & Sylvia Boyd!
