Deacons of the Month

For the month of September, our Deacons of the Month are Lynn Anderson & Shelley Wagner!

Our Deacon Board will be rotating duties each month, and if any need arises during a particular month, the Deacons of the Month will be attending to the needs of our church family.

Exciting Worship News to Share!

Our Session is happy to announce that beginning September 20th, we will resume Pali Pres worship services with one significant (and exciting) change. Due to the extraordinary hospitality of the good folks at Brentwood Pres, we will begin our worship at 11:30 a.m.! What a blessing it will be to worship together as a Pali Pres family in the morning hours!

Please note that the turnaround will be a bit tight between the conclusion of BPC's service at 11:05 a.m. and the beginning of our service at 11:30 a.m. We're confident it can be managed, but we appreciate everyone's understanding and patience as we navigate this new schedule and its logistics.

Combining with BPC for worship this summer has been a true gift, and we look forward to future joint services with our Brentwood sisters and brothers in Christ. We give thanks for their hospitality and their willingness to rearrange their morning worship schedule to make this new worship time possible for us!

Good News Corner

A BIG thank you to Lynn Anderson for generously offering her lovely home and pristine pool for our Pali Pres Pool Party and Potluck! Seeing everyone outside of church is always such a blessing, and it couldn’t have come at a more opportune time amidst such heat!

Habitat for Humanity in the Palisades

Great news for the Palisades! We have the opportunity to assist in a Habitat for Humanity event in the Palisades, one of the largest Habitat LA has ever done in its 36-year history!

Come and join us as we help bring Palisadians home this September. Our church site will serve as a welcoming and staging area for the event, and we need your help with hospitality.

Wednesday, September 23rd is already well-staffed. If you can, please sign up for Thursday, September 24th, Friday the 25th, or Saturday the 26th.

Our event support volunteers will play a critical role leading up to and throughout the Sept. 23rd - 26th Wildfire Recovery Community Build, so let us know if you want to join us that week. Contact Missions & Outreach Elder David Wood or Pastor Grace for more information.
