BIG Worship News to Share!

Since February 2, Culver City Presbyterian Church has graciously opened their sanctuary, fellowship hall, and Sunday School classrooms to us in an amazing show of Christian solidarity and love. God has provided Pali Pres with a comforting and comfortable spiritual home as we grieved the loss of our sanctuary and so much more. Gathering at Culver City Pres as a family of faith has been a true blessing!

Over the last number of weeks, however, the PPPC Session has reflected, prayed, and discussed other worship location options. Based on that reflection and prayer, and taking into consideration a number of factors, the Session unanimously voted to hold our worship services at Brentwood Presbyterian Church (BPC).

Pastor Dave Carpenter and the Session of BPC have enthusiastically offered their sanctuary, fellowship space, choir room, Sunday School classrooms, and even offices to Pali Pres for as long as we need! Given BPC’s proximity to the Palisades, the long-standing relationships and partnerships between our two churches, and other factors, the Session felt this move is indeed God’s will for us.

We will begin worshiping at Brentwood Pres on Palm Sunday, April 13. PLEASE NOTE—we will continue to worship at Culver City Pres next Sunday (April 6th).

Worship services at BPC will continue to be held at 2:30pm with a time for coffee fellowship to follow. We fully anticipate being able to live-stream all of our worship services from BPC starting on April 13.

Ample parking can be found in the parking garage off of Bundy Ave (at the intersection of Bundy and San Vicente, directly behind the church) and on nearby side streets.

Wednesday Prayer Group

The Passing of Lyla Corrales

It is with a very heavy heart that we share with the Pali Pres family the passing of long-time church member, elder, and deacon, Lyla Corrales. Lyla was taken to the hospital in the early morning hours of March 24 with a medical emergency and passed later that afternoon. She was surrounded by family, close friends, and the love of God.

Please keep Lyla’s daughters, Vicky and Cindy, and her entire family in your prayers during this tender and difficult time. Lyla will be dearly missed. May her soul rest comfortably and peacefully in the everlasting arms of God.

The Passing of Margaret Walker

Margaret Walker’s memorial will be held at Wee Kirk o’ the Heather at Forest Lawn Glendale this Saturday, April 5th at 2pm. All are welcome.
