Worship Reminder

We will continue to worship at Culver City Presbyterian Church this Sunday, March 16th, at 2:30pm. Please enter through the main doors of the sanctuary on Washington Blvd.

A Special Message of Support from Presbyterian Church Leadership!

Recently, leaders from our denomination collaborated to send the members and friends of Pali Pres a special message of support and encouragement in the aftermath of the wildfires. Rev. Jihyun Oh (Stated Clerk of the General Assembly) and Rev. Cecelia Armstrong and Rev. Tony Larson (Co-Moderators of the General Assembly) recorded their message and prayers for us, which can be viewed here.

Our Sunday School Children Welcome the Lenten Season

We had a wonderful Sunday school session with our teachers Mr. Andrew, Mr. Joshua, Ms. Andrea, Ms. Carole and Taylan and Soyer!

On Sunday, our children received paper crosses that are filled with flower seeds, and planted them in special containers. We remember that we are like these seeds during Lent, waiting and being watered so that we might grow strong and welcome Easter Sunday!

Sharing Our Story with the HUD Secretary, Scott Tuner

Last week, Pastor Matt had the opportunity to meet with the US Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary, Scott Turner, during his visit to Los Angeles. Pastor Matt, along with Rabbi Daniel Sher (from Kehillat Israel) and other residents of the Palisades, met with Secretary Turner to share our stories from the January wildfires, articulate our hopes and concerns for the recovery and rebuilding of our beloved community, and ask for his support. It was a valuable time of sharing, listening, and advocacy.

The Passing of Margaret Walker

Please join us as we honor the life of Margaret Walker, Elder Bill Walker’s mother. The memorial will be held at Wee Kirk o’ the Heather at Forest Lawn Glendale on April 5th at 2pm.
