Good News Corner

Correne Gichuru, one of our long time members and Deacon, left earlier this year to tend to her home in Kenya.

She has become quite a successful farmer, sharing her crop with her friends and neighbors, and teaching them about organic farming. Here she is pictured with her cousin and their driver on an outing, and some of her crops. She misses everyone, but not to worry, Bill Walker is going across the Atlantic to visit her with tidings of love from Pali Pres!

Working Women’s Group (WOW)

If you are a woman of working age, we invite you to join us for “WOW” - Women of Working age - a fellowship group based on coming together as women of faith for a time of sharing and learning. Please see Pastor Grace or Mary Fish for more information. Our next meeting will be Tuesday, February 3rd, at 7pm, at Stephanie Hubsch’s home. (Address will be shared with RSVP). Please bring a small dish to share!

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We are looking for volunteers to serve as Sunday Snack Angels! On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!

Last week’s refreshments were provided by the Iannaccone Family! This week’s refreshments are provided by Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church and Brentwood Presbyterian Church!

Thank you to Caroline Nick for being our new Snack Captain for Sundays! Caroline will be setting up our snacks for us on the Sundays when we have a donation for the snacks, but need them to be purchased and set up in the absence of the doner. Please continue to sign up to provide snacks on a Sunday of your choice by either contacting Lynette Shishido or signing up at church for this very important ministry of care and compassion to our church family!
