Good News Corner

Last week, Pastor Matt and Pastor Grace were able to meet with our two new Interim Executive Presbyters, Rev. Wendy Tajima and Rev. Steve Yamaguchi.

They were able to show them a bit of the Palisades, and shared with them our current situation and our hopes for the future. They were also grateful to pray together with them.

We are thankful to have loving support and concern from our Presbytery!

Creative Arts Sunday - Sunday, August 23rd

The Sunday, August 23rd worship service will feature a 7-8 minute dramatic reading and we would like to have actors participate from both churches. Please email Nancy Reeves if you are interested. There will be one rehearsal on August 19th or 20th.

Also, as part of that day, a visual arts faire will be held outside on the front patio. A bi-annual event at BPC, it is a fun time for people to share their creative gifts with the community. Any visual art can be represented - painting, drawing, photography, sewing, knitting, sculpture, etc. Please sign up here.

Pali Pres Nametags

There are now Pali Pres nametags available for everyone to wear during our summer joint worship services with BPC! Locate yours in the nametag caddy (pictured below) in the Narthex. One side of the caddy is for BPC, the other side is for Pali Pres. We ask for your grace if we happened to miss your nametag. Please email Operations Manager, Will Saunders, and he’ll print one for you.

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We are looking for volunteers to serve as Sunday Snack Angels for the fall! On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family. You can also contact Operations Manager, Will Saunders, and he will send you the electronic signup sheet.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!

Last week’s refreshments were provided by the Pali Pres Deacons! This week’s refreshments are provided by Brentwood Presbyterian Church!
