Calling All Graduates!

Children and Family Ministries will honor high school seniors and college graduates from the class of 2026, as well as all children “stepping up” to the next stage, during the worship service on May 17th. We would also love to include their names in our weekly newsletter.

Please share the names of students moving from preschool to kindergarten, kindergarten to elementary, elementary to middle school, or middle school to high school, as well as any high school or college graduates so that we can celebrate these important milestones.

Build Homes, Build Hope with Habitat for Humanity on May 30th!

Pali Pres will be participating in an upcoming Habitat for Humanity build day on Saturday, May 30th, along with a few other churches. Volunteers may sign up for a morning shift, an afternoon shift, or both shifts if available. Each shift is limited to 20 participants, and we expect the spots to fill quickly.

No construction experience is necessary. This opportunity is open to everyone ages 16 and up. Lunch will be provided for volunteers. If you are interested in participating, please register soon to reserve your spot.

Kids, Meet Your Presbyterian Cousins at Movie Night! TOMORROW!

Westwood Presbyterian Church is inviting fellow Westside PCUSA K-5yrs to a movie night on May 9th from 5 - 7:30pm. Younger siblings, middle and high-schoolers are all welcome too. There will be pizza, popcorn, a sensory room, and a Mother’s Day card-making station; volunteer opportunities abound!

Area CFM Directors and adult volunteers will provide supervision. Parents may stay for the show or parents may drop off their children (6 & up) and go treat Mom this Mother's Day Eve. RSVP by May 4th to Lucy Garcia so we know how much pizza to order.

Communion Passage

We are excited to invite your child to Communion Passage, a special class for Pali Pres-Brentwood Pres elementary students in grades three through five exploring the meaning of Communion in the Presbyterian tradition.

Sunday, May 31, 9:00 a.m., Room 210. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Together, we will learn about Jesus’ invitation to the table, the meaning of Communion, and how we participate in this important part of worship as a church family.

Good News Corner

Pastor Matt and his family were VERY excited and thankful to return to their home in the Highlands this past week! After 16 months of wrestling with their insurance company, arranging for remediation, and completing some vital repairs (thanks to some excellent contractors!), they are finally home. They offer a heartfelt prayer of gratitude to God, as they also pray for all who remain displaced from their homes and those struggling with the complexities of rebuilding. May God grant everyone in the Palisades strength and perseverance as we continue the hard work of rebuilding our beloved community.

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We are looking for volunteers to serve as Sunday Snack Angels! On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!
