PPPC Congregational Meeting - Sunday, June 7th

The Annual Meeting of the Pacific Palisades Presbyterian Church congregation will be held on Sunday, June 7th immediately following the 2:30pm worship service in the Garden Room at Brentwood Pres. During the meeting we will hear reports from the Finance Committee and the Nominating Committee.  We will elect a new Nominating Committee for 2026-2027, as well as new officers (Deacons and Elders) whose terms begin July 1. We will also hear updates related to our church's recovery (this will be in lieu of the monthly online Congregational Forum for June)

All PPPC members and friends are encouraged to attend (only members can vote, however).

The work of the Pali Pres Nominating Committee continues, as we seek to discern whom God is calling to serve our congregation as a Deacon, Elder, or member of the 2026 Nominating Committee. Your prayers and input are vital to our work. Utilize the form below to nominate one or more persons to any of these leadership roles or, should you feel an inner call to serve our congregation yourself, we welcome self-nominations.

Stepping Up Sunday

Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in The Lord, always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”

It is so important to pause and celebrate the special moments in life. Last Sunday was a wonderful occasion as we celebrated all the Pali Kids who are either graduating or “stepping up” this school year. Each of them received a gift that was just right for their age, along with a special prayer for their future. We are so proud of them!

Congratulations to the following students and their families! Anniston Aragon, Ash Park, Jasmin Clarke Kendall, Alek Iannaccone, Juliette Price, Iris Clarke Kendall, Ameera Del Rosario, Maxwell Weinstock, Ethan Park, Polly Pfizenmaier and Uma Singh.

A Prayer for Memorial Day

God, your holy word promises that one day peace will reign in human hearts, and war will be no more. This Memorial Day weekend, we come before you desiring peace, justice, and liberty for all people. We thank you for the men and women in every generation who have willingly walked into harm’s way in order that we might enjoy such freedom. Heal their memories, honor their service, bless their sacrifice, and comfort their loved ones. May they be remembered in this life, even as they are entrusted to you in the life everlasting. Amen.

Communion Passage

We are excited to invite your child to Communion Passage, a special class for Pali Pres-Brentwood Pres elementary students in grades three through five exploring the meaning of Communion in the Presbyterian tradition.

Sunday, May 31, 9:00 a.m., Room 210. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!

Together, we will learn about Jesus’ invitation to the table, the meaning of Communion, and how we participate in this important part of worship as a church family.

Good News Corner

What a wonderful all-church Family Sunset Beach Bash we had at Will Rogers last Sunday! It was a beautiful afternoon spent enjoying each other’s company, watching the kids play in the sand and splash in the water, and admiring the sun set.

We were especially grateful to have pizza delivered by our CFM Elder, Caroline Nick, who made a special trip to Spruzzo’s, a longtime Palisades favorite. It means so much to continue finding ways to return to and support the community we love while reconnecting with one another along the way.

Calling All VBS Volunteers!

Vacation Bible School is almost here, and we would love your help! Volunteer training will take place on June 14th, and VBS runs June 15th-18th from 9:00 AM to Noon.

VBS is always a joyful and meaningful week in the life of our church, filled with faith, friendship, learning, and fun for children and volunteers alike. We are still looking for volunteers to help with snacks, games, story time, crafts, and more. Whether you can serve one day or the entire week, there is a place for you.

If you are willing to help in any capacity, please reach out with your availability. Your time and presence will make a meaningful difference for the children and families who participate.

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We are looking for volunteers to serve as Sunday Snack Angels! On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!
