Update from the Presbytery

Good news! At its meeting on July 31st, the Presbytery of the Pacific passed a motion to approve Pali Pres encumbering our property in order to receive a loan from the Small Business Administration. This follows a similar motion that was passed at our July 27th Congregational Meeting and allows us to move forward with our FEMA recovery application. Thanks be to God!

Monthly Congregational Forum - August 20th

To help provide our Pali Pres family with information and updates related to our church’s recovery from the January wildfires, the PPPC Session has scheduled “Congregational Forums” on the third Wednesday of each month. The pastors, elders, and members of our church’s “Recovery Executive Team” will be available to present updates on all that we are working on and to hear and address questions from church members and friends.

The next Congregational Forum will be held on Wednesday, August 20th at 6:30pm via Zoom. Please join us via the information below.

Save the Date - Fall Kickoff

Fall is just around the corner! Please join us on Saturday, September 13th at Holmby Park in Beverly Hills from 11am to 2pm for our 2025 Fall Kickoff! While we can’t quite squeeze that tiny In-n-Out Truck in there this year, there will be plenty of delicious food and fun festivities as we continue this long standing tradition!

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We have been blessed the last few months by so many churches, friends, and organizations who have donated food and funds for our coffee fellowship hour after church.

We are looking for volunteers from within our own Pali Pres community. On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynnette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!

We are so thankful to last Sunday’s Snack Angels, Staci & Clay Mitchel, for graciously providing coffee and refreshments. What a blessing! This week’s refreshments are provided by Shelley Wagner & Clay Wagner Medick, in loving memory of our beloved Mary Alford, who passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on June 2nd. We give thanks that she has gone to her Home eternal.
