Update from the Presbytery

Good news! At its meeting yesterday (July 31), the Presbytery of the Pacific passed a motion to approve Pali Pres encumbering our property in order to receive a loan from the Small Business Administration. This follows a similar motion that was passed by our congregation at last Sunday's Congregational Meeting and allows us to move forward with our FEMA recovery application. Thanks be to God!

A Lovely Saturday at Skirball

What a blessing it was to be invited last Saturday to the wonderful Skirball Cultural Center and the Noah's Ark Exhibit. The experience was truly amazing and filled with joy. Thank you for joining us and thank you to the wonderful people at the Skirball for their warmth and hospitality!

Good News Corner

A heartfelt thank you to Aleah Plume for crafting these stunning botanic-themed bookshelves for her Eagle Scout Project, which she generously gifted to the Children and Family Ministry. These shelves will hold our children’s library in Ms. Lucy’s office at Brentwood Presbyterian. As a dedicated student at Pali High and a Pali Pres VBS counselor for two consecutive years, Aleah has shown remarkable commitment to our children. Despite the difficulties she faced after January 7th, her determination to bring her project to fruition is truly inspiring. Aleah has been such a blessing to our church!

You Can Be a Snack Angel!

We have been blessed the last few months by so many churches, friends, and organizations who have donated food and funds for our coffee fellowship hour after church.

We are looking for volunteers from within our own Pali Pres community. On the snack table each Sunday is a sign up sheet for you to select a date to provide snacks for our church family.

If you are unable to physically pick up and deliver the snacks yourself, please make a note next to your name and you can donate $100 to cover the cost of all the food for one Sunday. This donation can also be made online HERE. Please contact Elder Lynnette Shishido, our snack captain, or Pastor Grace for more information and to sign up!

We are so thankful to last Sunday’s Snack Angels, Joan & Jerry Kaczorowski, for graciously providing coffee and refreshments. What a blessing! This week’s refreshments are provided by Staci & Clay Mitchel!
