In an effort to respond to the changing needs of Palisades families with busy Sunday mornings, PPPC is embracing a new schedule, as well as a new purpose, with the addition of a monthly Sunday evening service. Called Sunset Crossing, the service veers from traditional worship toward a more causal evening of hands-on mission projects, contemporary music worship, with a community style casual dining experience. Families are encouraged to attend and child care is available during the service. Rev. Eric Schaefer, our head pastor, heads up our Sunday evening program. He has spent many years working with kids and families at PPPC. He remains in charge of weekly youth programs and ongoing mission trips. He has led more than 50 service trips into Mexico, The Dominican Republic, Belize, Molokai and Eastern Europe and Western Europe with hundreds of teens and adults.
The Sunset Crossing service will feature contemporary music, a large HD screen and casual seating inside and outside of the roomy Janes Hall. Leading the music will be Anthony Wamble and his worship band who helps lead our Sunday morning service as well. The music will be contemporary Christian tunes that appeal to all ages! Additionally, each month there will be hands-on service opportunities with guest speakers from mission groups such as OPCC, Operation Gratitude, The Dreamcenter, Teen Challenge and more. This monthly service is a great way to be casually introduced to our church community. Come try it out and bring a friend!
