NEW!! Bible 101

What’s in the Bible? Is it God’s Owners Manual? An outline of human history? Find out!
Taught by Dr. Tim Beal, a familiar preacher at Pali Pres.  The 6-week class begins Sunday, January 22nd,  9:00 to 9:55am in the church library before the church service.
Mark your calendar. You won’t want to miss out! No previous Bible knowledge required.
No sign-up is required. Just show up any or all six Sunday mornings, ready to explore!

Dr. Tim tells us, “The Bible is not really a book, but a library of books written over the course of 1200 years. It remains the best selling book in the world, but is strange and unfamiliar to many who own one. Beginning Sunday, January 22 and running for 6 weeks, Dr. Tim Beal will offer Bible 101, a seminar introducing the Bible. Topics will include: Who wrote the books in the Bible and why? What is the story the Bible tells and where do I find those episodes in the books? How did the Bible writings become treated as “scripture” and who decided what should be included? What does it mean to say that the Bible is the “word of God”? How does the Bible help me live faithfully?”

“Discovering My Calling” Workshop February 25 & 26

In this 2-afternoons seminar, Dr. Tim Beal will help you discover your exact calling. Dr. Tim is an expert at helping you not only unveil your calling, but he knows how to release you to run on that path that is uniquely yours. Through presentations, self-assessments, and small group discussions, you will look at your passions, abilities, experiences and temperament as clues for discovering your calling.

God is calling you to be a partner in making the world a better place. This calling is unique to you. How cool is that?!  Come find out what yours is! You might even help someone else find their calling too!

We will gather on Saturday, February 25 from 1:00-5:00pm (snacks) AND Sunday, February 26 from 11:30 AM-3:00pm (lunch) in Janés Hall.  The seminar is FREE. But please sign-up in advance in the church office.

CPR/AED/First Aid Class

Only $ 20 per person/ checks need to be made out to “Michele Blake”, the instructor. Sign-up in advance either with Nancy Gillette, or in the church office.  A light lunch will be provided.

Mid-week Tuesday Study “With All Your Heart”

Begins Wednesday, March 22, and runs for 6 Wednesdays 10:30 to 11:30 am in the church library.
You won’t want to Ms Marylea Fleig’s 6-week Bible Study using Ray Vander Laan’s wonderful video series shot in Israel, with a faith lesson discussion to follow. Come learn. Come deepen your faith.  Mark your calendars for these 6 classes during the Lenten season prior to the arrival of Easter.
