The Rev. Dr. K. Edward Brandt

Ed was installed in October, 2006, having served Red Clay Creek Presbyterian Church, Wilmington, Delaware (1999 – 2006).  Prior to his ministry at Red Clay, Ed served Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania (1987 – 1999).  Ed has served the Presbyterian Church (USA) at various levels including Stated Clerk of Donegal Presbytery and Director for the Board of Pensions serving on the Health Care and Personnel Committees. In 2006 the General Assembly elected him to the General Assembly Review Committee and at Presbytery of the Pacific he serves on the Committee on Ministry.

He received his BA from The University of Findlay; M.Div. from Princeton Theological Seminary; and his D. Min. from Lancaster Theological Seminary, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. His Doctoral project focused on a strategy for the local church to deal with public policy issues.

Ed believes in community involvement and is an active Rotarian, having recently completed 20 years of service. He is a Chaplain in the Army National Guard, recently attaining the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Ed is married to Kelley and they have three children: Jennifer, Kristopher and Elwood.
